    Class NormalizedScale

The default console fader taper: a log-shaped throw with a unity detent at position 0.75, a +10 dB boost region above it, and a cut region that steepens toward TAPER_FLOOR_DB at the bottom. Named for its normalized 0..1 surface position (Midas / X32 send position directly); the dB the taper derives from that position is the level the software mixer plays and every surface displays.

Anchors: 0 → -90 dB (the declared floor), 0.5 → ≈ −12 dB, 0.75 → 0 dB (unity), 1.0 → +10 dB. Strictly monotonic and exactly invertible ACROSS THE WHOLE THROW, which is the property the offset buys: the plain log10(position/0.75) this replaced was invertible too, but only over the range it could represent — below position ~0.037 it derived levels beneath the desk's own declared travel, and at 0 it derived -Infinity, which JSON cannot spell at all.

The amplitude a position yields is 10^(dB/20) (linearOfPosition), except at the very bottom, which is OFF rather than −90 dB of bleed.
