Startup-rig preset names, kept ONLY to be accepted and ignored.
There was a preset axis: bare started the configured adapter and nothing else,
demo (renamed console) built the whole product. It collapsed in 2026-07, because
only one arm of it was ever selected. Nothing in the tree chose bare — no shipped
config, bin, unit, script or doc named it — yet it was the schema DEFAULT, so a server
started without the bundled config got a desk with no engine, no audio path and
nothing saying so. The same accidental state as the loopback fallback deleted
alongside it. There is one boot path now: the console.
The names survive in the schema and nowhere else. The RPM ships
/etc/openmixer/config.json%config(noreplace) and never rewrites it, so an upgraded
host's file still names a preset and MUST still parse — a desk that refuses to boot on
upgrade is worse than one that boots and says what it did. An unknown name is still
rejected; these three are not. See retiredPresetNotice for what is said about
each at startup.
