THE TAKE LIBRARY — every finished multitrack take this console holds, newest first
(2026-07-16-recording-vsc.md §4). The stored-library shape /scenes, /sessions,
/patches and /channelConfigs already have: headers on the collection, ONE header on the
member, and an id that names nothing answering absent rather than empty.
READ-ONLY, and both halves of that are declared facts rather than omissions.
NO CREATE DOOR. The other four libraries POST because a save is how their items come into
being; a take is minted by /record/start and finished by /record/stop, so a POST here
would be a second answer to what makes a take — and the one that could make an empty one.
NO DELETE DOOR YET. A take is the largest thing this console writes and the store's own
erase is rm -rf over a folder: not atomic, so an interrupted one can leave the sidecar
standing over missing tracks — a take that still LISTS and can no longer be played. Two
more windows the store cannot see from where it stands: the folder a capture is writing
into right now, and the take the soundcheck is holding files open on. A destructive door
needs those three closed and the operator's confirm ruling honoured; that is its own
change, not a lifecycle hook bolted onto the address.
