nullableEnumOf, never text(…): it REFUSES an unknown id with UNKNOWN_ENUM instead of
storing whatever arrived, and it carries values, so OPTIONS renders the picker from the same
declaration the door validates against — the ids are GENERATED from the template table, so a
new template joins the vocabulary by existing. null is deliberately not listed among those
values — unset is absence, not another instrument.
