    Variable CONTRACT_VERSIONConst

    CONTRACT_VERSION: { major: number; minor: number } = ...

THE DECLARED CONTRACT VERSION — bumped BY HAND, never derived.

Operator, 2026-09-16: "when we change the grammar we increase the minor version. And we can document what has been added per version."

The fingerprint below answers is this the same contract. It cannot answer what changed or may I still speak to it, because a hash has no order. This does:

    • MINOR rises when the GRAMMAR changes — a row family, a path shape, a codec or mold, a field added to a row's declaration, a value added to a member set. That is contractStructure's subject, and the version ratchet refuses a structure change without a bump.
    • MAJOR rises only for a break, as an internal spec defines one.
    • Neither rises for a state-only change — a default's value, a bound moving outward. It is still LISTED in the version in flight, because contract-changes.md is the human's mirror of the derived diff.

1.0 and not 0.1: the contract this names is the one a live console has served since deploy #66. The declaration is new; the surface is not.
