SORT the curve's bands by frequency and renumber them 1..n in that order — a deliberate
operation, never automatic.
It lives BESIDE the members rather than under /eq/ because it is the band COLLECTION's own
action, and it can only live here because a band id is a bare number: sort names nothing of
the member row's kind, so it cannot shadow a band (isBandId).
