    Type Alias AlignArrival

    AlignArrival: "either" | "physical"

Which of a correlation peak's two names is true for THIS pair — the physics the arithmetic cannot know (see the module doc).

    • either — the target may lead or lag the reference. The peak is named on the branch nearest zero, [-fftSize/2, fftSize/2), which is exactly what the slope alone could say. Two microphones on one source: either can be the near one.
    • physical — the target can never precede the reference, so every lag in the window is an ARRIVAL and the peak is named on [0, fftSize). §9b's law: the measurement microphone's tap and the loudspeaker feed's tap are filled in the same process callback, and everything between them — the out stage, the converters, the air, the preamp — costs positive time.

The same peak, the same code, two names. Declaring physical is what doubles the reach.
