    Interface AdapterDeviceConfig

    Device wiring passed to an external adapter's factory/constructor.

    THE OPERATOR'S PER-DEVICE OPTIONS ARE SPREAD ONTO THIS, not only nested under options. An external adapter declares its own config shape and reads its own keys — inputChannels, masterChannels, model — at the top level. Handing it a bag it does not look inside means every one of those keys silently takes the adapter's default, and the operator is told nothing: a Midas PRO of any size came up as 32 inputs / 3 masters because the size it was configured with never arrived (audit: "the Midas adapter silently taking a 32/3 default").

    options stays as well, so an adapter that prefers the bag keeps working, and the wiring keys are written AFTER the spread so a stray option can never overwrite host/port.

    interface AdapterDeviceConfig {
        host: string;
        options: Record<string, unknown>;
        port?: number;
        readonly [key: string]: unknown;
    }
