    Interface EqPreset

    One selectable band-count preset (#120): a classic console layout offered by the EQ tab's picker. bandCount is what actually gets seeded — bands.length, always ≤ EQ_MAX_BANDS — which may be LOWER than nominalBandCount (the layout's classic name-count, e.g. 31 for the GEQ) when the verified native cascade can't carry the full layout; capNote then documents the honest reduction for the picker to show.

    interface EqPreset {
        bandCount: number;
        bands: readonly EqPresetBandSeed[];
        capNote?: string;
        id: EqPresetId;
        nameKey: string;
        nominalBandCount: number;
    }
    Index
    bandCount: number

    What actually gets seeded — always bands.length, always ≤ EQ_MAX_BANDS.

    bands: readonly EqPresetBandSeed[]
    capNote?: string

    Set only when bandCount < nominalBandCount — the honest cap explanation.

    nameKey: string

    The i18n key naming this preset, e.g. eq.preset.console5.name — a CODE, never display prose. Core sends keys over the wire; the client resolves the key through useI18n/useLabels (house i18n law). Uniform nomenclature across every preset (operator 2026-08-05): "N bands", nothing else — the translated string behind each key must read that plainly.

    nominalBandCount: number

    The layout's classic name-count (e.g. 31 for the GEQ).
