    Interface EqBand

    interface EqBand {
        freqHz: number;
        gainDb: number;
        id?: string;
        label?: string;
        name?: EqBandName;
        on: boolean;
        q: number;
        tag?: string;
        type: EqBandType;
    }
    Index
    freqHz: number
    gainDb: number
    id?: string

    Stable id addressing this band across add and remove, and the ONLY way the wire names one — a bare number ('1', '2', …), never a position. Server-assigned.

    Optional only because a device-reported band or a generic param round-trip can arrive without one; such a band is simply NOT ADDRESSABLE until it is normalised and given an id. There is no positional fallback: a position renumbers when the list changes, so a caller holding one ends up aiming at whichever band moved into that slot (#363, #159).

    label?: string

    Free display label for an operator-added band; DISPLAY only (no behaviour keys off it).

    name?: EqBandName

    LEGACY console-band name (Low … High) carried over from an old session; DISPLAY only.

    on: boolean
    q: number
    tag?: string

    Origin tag for a MACHINE-planted band (the FBS auto-corrector's fbs-fixed / fbs-live — see an internal spec). Unlike label it IS behavioural, but only to the planter: the corrector may modify or remove ONLY bands carrying one of its own tags and never touches an untagged (operator-created) band. The native DSP ignores it; it persists with the session and renders as a marker in the EQ panel.
