Whether a bus of a given kind defaults to stereo (distinct L/R). Industry default:
mains, sub-groups (mix), matrices and FX-return inputs are stereo; aux / monitor
sends are mono (a wedge / IEM feed is one signal). A DCA carries no audio, so it is
never stereo. Callers can override per bus, but this is the sensible default the engine
and allocation use so a freshly-built console matches expectations.
The per-bus-type answer is read from the BUS_TYPES descriptor table (one entry per
allocatable bus type); a kind with no bus entry (an input channel, a control group, the cue
bus) is never stereo by default.
