KEPT, with their values: every output's routeTo and locked (keptOutput); the cue
block (which output the control room monitors on, and in which mode); reacSegments (the
wire's desired pace); expectedHardware (what is on the rig NOW, so the new show expects the
room it was started in); and the allocation(s) the caller resolved.
DROPPED, by being absent: channel names and colours, faders, mutes, pans, trims, EQ/gate/comp
and every plugin chain, sends, MAIN assignments, buses, DCAs, matrices, mute groups, surface
maps, USER pages, the strip order, the talkback mic route, the speaker-alignment picks, the
safety pre-loads, the tempo, the per-port headAmps and the input patch.
Two of those are judgements, recorded in the spec (§3) so the operator can overturn them:
preferences is dropped, because a brand-new session is a console that never had a look set;
headAmps is dropped rather than zeroed, because an absent block asserts NOTHING onto a
preamp, and zeroing one would be a hardware claim this function has no business making.
NOT DROPPABLE HERE AT ALL, and named so nobody looks for them: the device policy, the clock
master, the patchbay's routing policy and the stagebox registry live in their own stores. A
session never carried them, so a new session cannot drop them.
Reduce a LIVE capture to a brand-new show.
